We are secure

Ever been on shaky grounds where you didn’t feel secure? Loose ends that don’t always wrap up? That can leave us with thoughts or ideas or experiences that go against feeling safe and secure.

Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the Lord will be your confidence. Proverbs 3:26

You will go on your way in safety. Your foot will not stumble. The Lord will be your confidence.

When we walk in our identity in our life’s journey, we get to embrace the security of God walking each step with us.

I don’t know your story. If you grew up feeling secure or not. What your life’s journey has brought.

The more I press into my story’s loose ends where the ground felt like it fell out from under me, the deeper I am knowing with my head and heart who I am and who God designed me to be. And the ground feels solid again. The foundation stronger.

God does give us steady ground on which to stand.

We are secure in God.

When we know in our heads and hearts our security in Christ, it gives freedom to press into those areas of uncertainty. Because the ground will not move. God will be standing right here, holding our hands as we think, feel and experience His presences in all aspects of our story.

Our experiences do impact us. And as written earlier, our experiences aren’t our story. Our journey with Jesus is.

The loose ends don’t always end up in pretty nice bows or how we expect. But Jesus does meet us there. And wants in.

We respond in trusting Him.

Inviting Him in.

And we move onward, solidly taking steps as we hold onto God’s right hand. Taking it moment-by-moment and step-by-step with the One who loves and likes us.

Sinking Deeper:

Where has the ground of life left you shaky? Uncertain? I encourage you to prayerfully think on them. Write those seasons out and invite Jesus into that part of your story.

As always, I love to hear from y’all. Thoughts, realizations, wonderings and parts of your story, just leave a comment!

Grace and peace,

My mind turned immediately turned to “On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand; ” from the old hymn “My Hope is Built on Nothing Less” One I grew up singing. Don’t hear the old hymns much any more. The verse starts out “My hope is build on nothing less than Jesus’s blood and righteousness. Your Blog brought this right to mind. It is surely a very good one and thank you. Love you 💛🙂
